B O O M
I led the art and creative direction for the class theme: “Bombs Are Bad,” a project for Advanced 3D Motion Graphics. My roles consisted of story, character designs, 3D Modeling, lighting, and animating.
In my opinion, the negative effects of military action in Syria (i.e. bombing and possibly war) certainly outweigh any positive outcomes because the price of innocent lives lost and immeasurable devastation will be too great to bear. The real question for me is, are we willing to be witnesses of the loss before seeing the light of day? Are we going to allow it?
I wanted to use a satire approach, and not directly point out the downsides of war. In the end, it will be the audience who decides whether to allow or avoid bloodshed in resolving this ongoing conflict.
